GROWTH TRENDS
Women-owned firms launch 1.5x faster but remain smaller than national average
DC area home to women-owned firms with greatest growth in economic clout
Women-owned are leading overall sector growth in 7 of 13 industries
Dip in growth among women-owned firms with $250--‐499K revenues
Only 2% of women-owned firms reach over $1 million revenues but strength of these firms is stronger in last 5 years
